There is an extension that runs on the customer's desktop that stores digital shopping receipts into their private server. But zero data collection occurs away from the customer.
Private Finance runs on your own private server, which can be hosted on your desktop computer. Its receipt-capture widget extracts receipt details and sends them directly to your server, where your receipts and financial records are stored under your control. This public website does not receive or store that data. If you choose to use connected services such as Gmail, Plaid, or AI features, information needed for those features may be exchanged with the providers you connect.

Private Finance Receipt Sync is a personal-use application operated by its owner. It helps the owner organize purchase receipts and compare receipt information with personal financial transactions.
If you register Private Finance, www.jamesa.solutions stores your email, Member status, registration and payment dates, and a payment-provider reference. It stores a hash of your activation code, not the code itself. Paid registration is retained for lifetime access. We do not store a host identifier or limit the number of installations for a registered email. An installation checks your registration once during activation and saves the result locally; it does not make recurring registration checks. This registry does not receive your receipts or personal financial records. Registration details are not sold or used for advertising.
With the owner's permission, the application uses an encrypted IMAP connection to retrieve messages carrying specifically configured receipt labels. It may process message metadata and receipt details such as the merchant, purchase date, order number, currency, and total amount.
Information is used only to extract receipt details, match receipts to the owner's financial transactions, and propose transaction-category corrections for the owner's review. The application does not send email, modify email, or automatically approve category changes.
Application records and receipt processing stay on the owner's private server. Email bodies are processed in memory and are not stored in the receipt database or sent to an artificial-intelligence service. Information is not sold or used for advertising.
Extracted receipt records are retained while needed for the owner's financial records. The owner may delete stored receipt records and may revoke Gmail access at any time by deleting the application's Google app password in Google Account security settings.
Access credentials are stored outside the public website and source repository. Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to limit access to the application and its data.
